This morning dudes climbed two three-story palms and clipped the dead frons. The action took place two houses down, and I had a clear view of the dude scaling the tree, sawing the frons, and watching the frons drop back to earth. I went around front to see how los hermanos were dealing with the stacks and piles of frons that had been cut from the tree. They were doing fine, but when I looked at their truck I saw something peculiar. Check out the head affixed to truck just above mid-cab. Is this the company logo (Los Piratos?)? Is it a homage to a fallen comrade (these guys dangle in dangerous places)? Maybe it's fair warning to all in their path that los muchachos es mas macho. It's cool by me. I liked the effect.
