Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Steinbeck. Now, Faulkner. I ordered the set. Nice price. Great reading. Click on the heading. Quick, what other pop culture person nudges their people toward the classics? Answer: they're are none. Read the good stuff. Don't clog your brain with post-modern nonesense. Meaning matters. Equivalencies dull. Build on bedrock not quicksand. Let's save the humanities before it's too late.

Nice entry. I remember the first time I read Faulkner. It was "Light in August," and upon finishing it, I felt breathless. "A Rose for Emily," is one of my favorite stories.
The man was a genius, an artist - a real damned writer.
